Here was a test which was pretty consistent with the GATE level, and the students performance is an indicative of that.

We have about 600+ students answering this test. So the data is also indicative of how students may perform in their GATE.

The distribution of scores was like a perfect bell shaped curve, with the group average being around 20, indicating a good perfomance from our students.

Our cut-off in this test would be around 35.

One thing we noticed was that most students finish the test in about 2 hours. Yet the overall average accuracy is around 60%. It would make sense to revisit your responses and recheck your calculations in the spare time you have. Remember, every mark saved improves your chances significantly.

Consistency is the name of the game. The accuracy levels of many students is now above 70% which ensures that they do not penalised with negative marks. So their overall score is high.

Avoid silly mistakes. Remember that a silly mistake in a 2 mark question can take you down by a whopping 2.66 or a few percentiles.

Mock 3 was comparable to Mock 2 and hence the scores and percentiles are also very similar. One student has scored an 80+, which is absolutely awesome.

Looks like either Mock 2 was easier compared to Mock 1 or students were better prepared. This is reflected in the fact that more students have scored over 50 in Mock 2.

Given below is the percentile report of students in Mock 2. We would expect the cut-off in this paper to be around 40.

Pls note that percentile means the percentage of students who have answered the test who have scored less than X score.
